Are there any real Western Mass. ( No...I don't mean Worcester or
Springfield ) in the Berkshire County or Pittsfield area. I am looking to hook up with riders who have street legal scooters (100cc - 250cc) for evening and weekend rides. Lets get together and share our scooter know how and riding experinces. Keep on rocking and scooting.

I was just up to Pittsfield last week. I rode up there from Chicopee via Route 5 to Route 9. I came back by way of Route 20. It is only 60 miles. There is another guy from West Springfield that I go riding with from time to time. We could meet you halfway sometime if we could work out our schedules. The weekend would probably be a better time to coordinate things. Let me know and we could set something up.

Hey joeT, I have lived in pittsfield for about 2 years. Being a bostonian and still on the first 400 miles of a new bike my rides have been mostly 30 or so miles round trip. Some of the far points have been beckett, washington, windsor and new lebanon (NY). A meeting somewhere 1/2 way sounds like a good idea. An idea i have tried is giving invitations to ride with my email on it to other scooterist or leave them on unattended scooters, post in scooter shops or public places like a library or coffee shop. Also in descending order on the scootma membership list are some names in the chicopee area posted in the last several years. If anything is happening contact me at bobhag1@yahoo.com. Maybe if we come across riders or events in each others areas we can share or trade that information. keep on rocking and riding. bobhag1

I'll talk to my riding partner and maybe we can plan a trip to meet you. We are riding Friday so I will discuss it with him then. Some of the Chicopee riders you probably see are not very active anymore. Some have moved and I have lost track of another. We keep plugging at it, trying to interest new riders but it just doesn't seem to come together. Thanks for your response. Connecticut has a few scooter clubs but nothing seems to be happening in Western Mass. We'll be in touch.

Just sent you a late e-mail. I am riding up to the Middlefair tomorrow and thought this might be an opportunity for us to meet. Check your e-mail for details.

Hey Bob,

I believe the Cummington Fair is on this week, starting Thursday, thru Sunday, Aug. 29. I have been toying with the idea of going up there, maybe on Saturday. Is that within your riding range? Sunday afternoon could also be a possibility. Don't want to be riding home on those backroads in the dark so I prefer Sat or Sun.

Just thought I would mention it in case you want to meet up there. Here's more info about the fair: www.cummingtonfair.com
